Mark P. Kielian, D.V.M.
Dr. Kielian has lived in Arkansas since 2001 and has worked with Dr. Smith since June 2004. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska in 1990 and graduated from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He is a native of Omaha, Nebraska.
Dr. Kielian practiced in Kansas City, MO and Springfield, VT before coming to Arkansas. He did a preceptorship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City in 1993 and gained emergency medicine experience while in Kansas City.
Dr. Kielian and his wife, Tammy, have two boys ages 6 and 4, and a 14 year old Cocker Spaniel mix named B.B. (her picture is in the Pet Photos section). Dr. Kielian and his family recently lost B.B. to progressive kidney failure. She will remain forever in their hearts.
Dr. Kielian and his family will be moving home to Nebraska at the end of May. His last day will be May 23rd. Dr. Kielian's wife, Tammy, has accepted a research position at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. While tremendously excited to return home after almost 20 years, he will miss the many special clients and pets that he has gotten to know while working at SRVC. |
