Dr. Brian Barron
Dr. Brian Barron received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University in 2007. During his academic career at LSU he was awarded the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Foundation Outstanding Student Award (’07), the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association Outstanding Student Award, and graduated with honors.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Arkansas in 2001 where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is also a graduate of Little Rock Catholic High (’97). His membership associations include the American Veterinary Medical Association, Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association, and Central Arkansas Executives Association.
Dr. Barron spent his first year practicing medicine in Bastrop, LA and then returned to Little Rock in 2008 to work at Shackleford Road Veterinary Clinic as an associate veterinarian. He purchased Shackleford Road Veterinary Clinic from Dr. Earl Smith in 2014.
Dr. Barron has two sons, Jackson and Owen, with his wife Catherine. He and his wife both grew up in Little Rock and enjoy being involved in the community.

Dr. Courtney Hemeyer
Dr. Courtney Hemeyer has had a deep love for animals from an early age and has a special fondness for treating all feline patients and golden retrievers. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2017 from Louisiana State University. Prior to her veterinary education at LSU, she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ouachita Baptist University, where she graduated in 2013.
Dr. Hemeyer lives in Little Rock with her cat, Remy, whom she adopted just before starting veterinary school. When she’s not working, she loves hiking, traveling, spending time with her family, and hanging out with Remy!

Dr. Sara Pilgrim
Dr. Sara Pilgrim has been an animal lover since she was a child, and she has a special interest in small mammals, reptiles, and other exotic pets. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2016 from Louisiana State University. She graduated with honors and is a member of the Phi Zeta Society. Prior to her veterinary education at LSU, she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Harding University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2012. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Pilgrim lives in Conway with her husband, Joshua, who is a mechanical engineer with Southwest Power Pool. They share their home with their beloved dogs Jasper and Terra, cats Phoenix, Ember, and Snowdrop, and a bearded dragon named Abby. When she is not busy caring for animals, Dr. Pilgrim loves running, camping, and hiking with her husband and dogs, and she has quickly fallen in love with all the beautiful trails Arkansas has to offer!
Dr. Pilgrim will be working full-time at a clinic closer to her home in Conway, but patients can still see her at Shackleford Road Veterinary Clinic on Saturdays.
