We were very concerned about our 8-year-old female dachshund who was having problems with vomiting and digestion. We found Dr. Barron and his staff very kind, as well as Dr. Barron who was knowledgeable about her issues.

You just can't beat Dr. Smith! He's pulled a lot of family pets through some sort of crisis, and he treats your pets with love! Dr. Barron is awesome as well!

Shackleford Vet worked my animal into their busy clinic. The clinic where we take our dog couldn't do that for us. Dr. Barron was knowledgable and kind.

Rufus was very sick and other previous vet's office would not see us until July 11. I called and talked to Tristen and she was so sweet and helpful. She said we could come the following day. Dr. Charney was so thorough and kind. Great experience!

Dr. Barron and his entire staff are our heroes.
They saved saved our shih tzu (Gizzie's) life last Monday. I called on Monday morning and they were able to see Gizzie on Monday. Dr. Barron called to advise us that Gizzie had a 2lb mass attached to his spleen causing his symptoms. One tenth his body weight. He was able to operate with in the hour and remove the mass and the spleen successfully. Dr. Barron kept us informed ever step of the way. Even calling us at 7:30Monday night to give us an update. We received compassion and empathy from Dr. Barron and his entire staff. We are so glad we found Dr. Barron and Shackleford Road Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Smith has been treating our furry children (Gracie & Sophie- cats) since the day we got them– over 13 years! He is the most gentle, kind, and caring Dr we have ever seen. And he has helped us through the loss of our second furry child and welcomed our youngest cat. We feel blessed to know him! Dr. Barron and Dr. Charney have also seen our cats when Dr. Smith is not available and are also extremely helpful. Cindy and Anna are the best at helping us get in when we are very concerned! We would never go anywhere else!

We've recently had to keep our grand dogs for our kids. They live out of town so if anything happens we take them to our long time vets at Shackleford Road. Our daughter's dog had to have hip surgery and Dr. Barron was wonderful about taking care of our Joey. Dr. Barron and the entire staff are fantastic. We wouldn't take our dogs anywhere else. For 17 years Dr. Smith took care of our family pet, a welsh corgi. When Dr. Smith told us it was time to put him down he was very compassionate and understood that Corky was family. These are the best veterinarians in Little Rock, in our opinion!

Dr. Smith and Dr. Barron are “THE BEST”  vets in L.R. They love and care about animals” ¦.it's genuine. I TRUST and appreciate all they do for my babies. They were called by God to be veterinarians.

SRVC has a friendly staff who love my pets like their own. The Vets are fabulous with the pets and my pets are happy to see them as well.

I would trust Dr. Smith and Dr. Barron to operate on me before I would a human surgeon.

Dr. Barron, Dr. Smith, and the entire staff continue to be the best care-givers in the business. About 11 or so years ago, i had an older mini-doxie that had been through so much and was basically “written-off”  by his previous vet. Dr. Smith was recommended to me and he saw a spark in the “old man's”  eyes and worked diligently to make him as well and comfortable as he could. That sweet boy lived a happy life for his remaining time on earth” ¦which was several years. I now bring my 2 other pets to SRVC as well and couldn't imagine taking them anywhere else. You know you and your fur babies are in excellent hands when you get a call out of the blue a couple of days after you've had a situation with one of them, and it's Dr. Barron saying he was just checking on your little one to see how they are doing. That's passion and compassion and very rare in business and people these days. Much respect to the entire staff.

Dr. Barron takes amazing care of my animals and always goes above and beyond! It's the little things, like the office staff remembering you and actually caring about your pets that make this an all around wonderful clinic!

Shackleford Vet clinic is the best in Arkansas. Everyone is is attentive and very caring. They are quick to get you in when your pet has sudden health issues and pricing is reasonable. I wouldn't use any other Vet in Arkansas.

A friend of mine recommended Shackleford Road Veterinary Clinic when I first moved to Little Rock, and thank god she did.

Dr. Barron is one of the best vets I've ever used and the staff is incredibly friendly. My dog has a rare blood disease and Dr. Barron has gone out of his way to learn as much about the disease as possible and has done an excellent job of keeping him healthy.

Recently moved to area from FL and needed to find a vet for my fur babies. My lab has chronic ear infections and this visit was due to yet another ear infection. Dr. Smith went above and beyond to what I was accustomed to in regards to treatment. He got to the bottom of the ear issue that I evidently had been “band-aiding”  for years. I have spent hundreds of dollars on ear drops/antibiotics with no resolve, only to find out her eardrums were blown and causing her issues. I was very pleased with my decision to use this veterinary clinic. ALL the staff members were friendly and pleasant to deal with.

I have been taking my pets to Shackleford Rd. Vet Clinic for more than 20 years. They are caring, professional, and compassionate. They have gotten me through some hard times of losing older pets and take great care of all my precious babies. I would recommend them to anyone.

The vets at SRVC are totally awesome! My dog had to have surgery for a torn ACL. She was terrified to be left there. The staff was very helpful and did everything possible to make sure my dog was comfortable for the process. They treated her like a queen. I would recommend this vet to any pet owner.

I have be a client since 1977 and I am happy that Dr. Smith chose such a wonderful doctor as Dr. Barron to take over the reins. He was wonderful with my poodle Noelle when she was so severely sick. My families been going here for 20 years. Since I got my first dog, a Chinese pug named Brutus, to my cocker spaniel, Precious, my moms mini dachshunds, Gabbie, bogie, and jake. To now my Akita, Domino, and my most recent, Ralph Lauren, who was tragically hit by a car a few months back. Luckily I was right there to rush him to Dr. Barron who took him straight to surgery and literally performed magic on my dogs poor shattered foot. I can't thank them enough for the work they do on my dogs.

My little cat was very sick, we took her to a different vet and $400 later we still didn't know what was going on with her and we were broke.

This past Monday they managed to slip us in, on very short notice, before I went to work. The staff is incredible. From those hard working ladies in the waiting room to the techs and the vets themselves we felt valued and we felt that they understood our situation. Compassion and empathy are what was displayed to us. The doctor went several extra miles both to find out what was the matter with my sweet kitty and to keep the costs down as much as possible. I didn't feel like he was out to make a boat payment, I felt that he cared about our cat and our worries. I have a new vet, and if you are looking for a great, no an amazing veterinary clinic, this is the place.
